Grand Ole Opry Celebrates 100 Years with Star-Studded TV Special 🎤🎉

On Wednesday, March 19, the Grand Ole Opry marked its incredible 100th anniversary with a special television event titled Opry 100. The show featured an impressive lineup of inducted Opry members and special guests, all coming together to celebrate this monumental milestone in country music history.

Performing at the Grand Ole Opry is a crowning achievement for any artist in the country music industry, and on this special night, over 30 country music legends took to the stage, including Vince Gill, Alan Jackson, and Clint Black, among others.

Among the standout performances of the night, Lainey Wilson, one of the newest members of the Opry, made a memorable appearance. She performed her breakout hit “Things A Man Oughta Know” alongside country legend Marty Stuart. In a special tribute to country greats, Lainey and Marty also honored Hank Williams with a heartfelt duet of “Lost Highway.”

In a touching moment, Reba McEntire surprised Lainey Wilson by inviting her to become an official Grand Ole Opry member during the Season 25 finale of The Voice. Lainey, clearly overwhelmed, expressed her admiration for Reba and the Opry, recalling how her first visit to the Opry at the age of nine solidified her dream to perform there.

Lainey was officially inducted into the Grand Ole Opry on June 7, 2024, a milestone she’ll forever cherish, especially performing alongside legends like Marty Stuart, who has been an Opry member for over 30 years.

Lainey and Marty’s performance of “Lost Highway” at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville was a true highlight of the night, with Lainey playing Williams’ iconic guitar. The duet showcased the timeless magic of country music and honored the Opry’s rich legacy.
